How To Pick The Best Styling Chairs For Your Salon

When the time comes to design your salon one of the most important part is choosing the right styling chairs. There's a lot to check out and think about for salon furniture. Since there are a lot of choices and styles of styling chairs, we will help you choose the best styling chair with a few examples included.

It has to be comfortable!
The first and most important part - the chair HAS to be comfortable. Don't sacrifice comfort for looks. There are examples for some really beautiful chairs but they are the least comfortable of them all. So before buying the chairs, you and your team should try them out. And try to sit on it at least 10 minutes.

How big of a styling chair do you need?
For salon furniture, when it comes to size - it does matter. The obvious choice would be smaller chairs for small salons but it's not worth risking comfort if the chairs are too small. It's better to have 2 normal-sized comfortable chairs then 5 small-sized uncomfortable chairs. Sure, it will reduce the number of clients you can have at once but they will be highly more satisfied and they will return. Unsatisfied and uncomfortable clients wont return ever. You should think about your clients too. If they are plus-size people then you should get bigger chairs no matter what. Unfortunately, I've seen too many situations when clients could not fit in the chair.

Does it fit with your salon design?
If your salon design includes light colors and minimalistic style, you should not pick a vivid or colorful chair. It will stand out too much and it doesn't look pretty. You should always pick your chair design according to your salon design. If you are not sure if it fits right, ask the manufacturer if he would rent out a few different colored chairs for you to try out and pick the right one.

The more support - the better.
Does it have arm support? Does it have a big enough back support? Some chairs even come with a leg support. The good thing about more support is that the client has an option to rest their body parts or not. If the chair doesn't have any kind of support - he doesn't even have the option. But in some cases where more flexibility is needed you should get a chair without any support. It really depends on your style of a salon and how comfortable the chair is for your clientele.

These pointers should help you pick the best styling chair for your salon. Always choose them with your team or other professionals because more different opinions matter. Chair comfort is not the same for every body type.
